Sometimes we need to go to the limit to see what our own boundaries
are. In this workshop we will explore a number of hatha yoga practices that
will show us both ends of the spectrum of our possibilities. On one level
we are physical beings, so we will use dynamic asana to arouse these
vibrant qualities. The more subtle aspects of ourselves will be touched by
extensive pranayama and mantra practices. These in harmony with each
other produce moments of stillness, calm and clarity. In this ha-tha
workshop we will all have an opportunity to deepen our understanding of
the various aspects that makes us whole. Jai Jai Ma.
Michael's philosophy on teaching is: "In order to be a good teacher one
must be a good student".

On Thursday evening we will have an introduction to each other and begin
with a practice of the elements in this workshop. This is an important time
to set your intention, so please don’t miss this...
Friday we will begin with pranayama and bandas practices, followed by
our first full asana practice.
Friday evening will give us the opportunity to chant mantras that will align
and ground us, allowing us to begin the meditation practices.
On Saturday morning we will dive deeper into the previous morning’s
pranayamas using bandas. This session will end with mantras and
meditation. After a break we then delve deeper into the essence of a
dynamic asana practice. This will prepare us for our first cleanse.
On Saturday evening we will all go to a temezcal (Mayan sweatlodge)for a
powerful ancient Mayan ritual to further open our minds and cleanse our
bodies. This will be followed by a wholesome, simple dinner.
For Sunday mornings practice (weather permitting) we will go the beach
for our pranayama and meditations. Our asana practice on Sunday will
include all the elements of our morning pranayama sessions. This will be
our time to deepen our asana practice and find the doorway to the other
aspects of our self.
On Sunday evening we will close our workshop with a ceremony that will
include and energetic cleanse, with Maria from Tulum & a lovely dinner by
the sea followed by a kirtan.
