In
this spring retreat, at Akalki, we will deeply explore a variety of
practices ranging
from pranayama, dynamic and gentle asanas, mantras, still and dynamic
meditations, and an opportunity to choose mauna( day or days of
silence). This will
be your opportunity to re-evaluate your practice and delve deeper in to
new
explorations using the setting and support of like mined people.
Each day will begin with a suitable pranayama, mantra or meditation
practice to
support the rest of the days practice. These will be followed by a
dynamic or gentle
asana session. To end our day we will choose from a variety of
practices that
compliment our day. These may include dynamic meditation,
chanting, drumming or
ecstatic dance. All our gastronomic needs will be tended to by the
delicious, healthy
food prepared by the magnificently talented team of the Akalki kitchen.
In your free
time you may choose to take a walk in the woods, swim in the
spectacular waters of
laguna Bacalar, or simply lounge your afternoon away bathing in the
warmth of the
Caribbean sunshine. Please bring any musical instruments you have for
our
evenings of music and chanting.
Everything you need to expand will be provided.. Simply arrive, leaving
behind your
schedules, laptops and responsibilities to the outside world. Jai jai
ma.
